Whatsapp from Feburay 1 will stop functioning on a number of Android and iOS powered smartphones. As per the updated information on the WhatsApp FAQ section, Android phones running on Android 2.3.7 operating system and lower as well as iPhones running on iOS 8 and lower will not be able to run WhatsApp application from Feb 1.

However, WhatsApp will till run on devices running KaiOS 2.5.1+ OS, including JioPhone and JioPhone 2. WhatsApp has earlier on December 31, 2019, has ended support for all phones running Windows OS.
