Talking about the cabinet’s decision in regards to the future of e-cigarettes in India Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed that cabinet has decided to ban them. The decision to ban would be applicable on the entire spectrum ranging from production, import to sale. Not only e-cigarettes but similar products would also fall under the ambit of this ban. The decision was based on white paper released by ICMR on the potential hazard of e-cigarettes.
