A Fire At Ukraine’s Nuclear Power Plant
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky shared a video in which he said “No country other than Russia has ever fired on nuclear power units. This is the first time in our history. In the history of mankind. The terrorist state now resorted to nuclear terror.”
As Russia starts fighting intensely in deep parts of Ukraine, a fire at Ukraine’s Nuclear Power Plant takes place. This fire incident has taken place on Friday, now Ukraine’s President is blaming Moscow for choosing the path of ‘Nuclear Terror’ and wanting to “repeat the Chernobyl disaster.”
The Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant is the biggest in Europe, and now raising the concern of radiation leakage due to the Friday incident.

A Statement from the White House came in which said “in urging Russia to cease its military activities in the area and allow firefighters and emergency responders to access the site.”
After that Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called the Russian Troops to stop attacking. So that the firefighters can stabilise the situation.
In his Tweet, he mentions “If it blows up, it will be 10 times larger than Chornobyl! Russians must IMMEDIATELY cease the fire, allow firefighters, establish a security zone.”
Zaporizhzhia is an industrial city located in southeastern Ukraine. Has a powerful station that provides an estimated amount of 40 per cent of Ukraine’s nuclear power.
Current Situation Of War
Now it has been one week since Ukraine been fighting for its existence with Russia. War started when Russian President Vladimir Putin executed an invasion in major cities of Ukraine from different directions.
The Russian military has blasted its way through Ukraine’s major cities, they have bombarded the city with shelling & missiles. Civilians are forced to take cover in basements, bunkers and other safe places. Till now the Russian forces have taken the Black Sea port in southern Ukraine.
