1. Biwi Ka Maqbara
Aurangabad, India
Inspired by the magnificent Taj Mahal, Biwi Ka Maqbara was built 30 years after the erection of its original inspiration. Often mocked as a “poor man’s taj,” this is one of the hidden and most peculiar place to visit in India. Built in the memory of lost love, though this time the love of a lost mother was the inspiration of this holy tomb.
Still, the monument is unable to attract much attention and hidden quietly among the rush of city that never sleeps. If you enjoy peace and want to go somewhere less crowded, you can visit the Biwi Ka Maqbara, situated in Aurangabad, Mumbai.
2. Lonar Lake
Maharashtra, India
This place was formed when a meteor meteor hit the Indian surface 50,000 years ago with a speed of 11 miles per second. The crater formed by the impact offered a beautiful lake. Although when it was discovered in the 19th century everyone thought it to be a volcanic opening.
But later when scientists found maskelynite (glass found on meteors) near the lake they confirmed that it was caused by a meteor impact. And now the main purpose of this crater is to help scientists examine the impact structures on the surface of the moon and mars.

3. Bhimbetka Rock Shelter
Amchha Khurd, Madhya Pradesh
Accidentally discovered in 1957 by an Indian archaeologist named DR. V.S. Wakanakar. This is the place, where you can see the prehistoric cave paintings, that are believed to be 30,000 years old. It is considered the largest repository of ancient art in India.
There are total 760 rock shelters, 500 of which are carved with prehistoric art portraying local birds, animals and our ancestors holding their weapons. In 2003 the place was listed as UNESCO World Heritage.
4. Kalavantin Durg
Maharashtra, India
Gifted by nature, Kalavain serves as the lookout post. The place was formed naturally somewhere in 530 BC atop of which gives a perfect and clear view of surroundings. The only way to reach its top is by climbing the hand-carved steps known as “climb to heaven.”
The climb can feel steep and can make you feel dizzy but once you reach the top everything will look wonderful.

5. Temples of Khajuraho
Chhatrpur, India
Also known as Kamasutra Temples, these temples are famous for the erotic sculptures that are built on the outer wall of the temple. There used to be 85 temples spread across 7 miles but now only 24 are left spread across 4 miles.
6. Ruins of Mandu
Madhya Pradesh, India
This place used to be the center of Mughal state in the north of the country. Now abandoned for more than 400 years, Mandu is one of the most fascinating places for travelers. This area is abandoned for a very long time, but it is still well preserved. This place treasures historic tombs, mosques, and monuments that looks magnificent.
7. Kwan Kung
China Town, Mumbai
Built-in 1919 Kwan Kung is the only Chinese temple in Mumbai. Back when it was built, it acted as the main part of the city for the sizable community of Chinese living in Mumbai. After the Indo-China war in 1962, all of the Chinese residents were forced to leave and now we are just left with their hints from the past. Located inside a two-story house, Kawan Kung temple is a place that not everyone knows about.
8. Monsoon Palace
Udaipur, India
Built-in 1884, the original name of Monsoon Palace is Sajjangarh Palace. Located in the beautiful city of romance and palaces called Udaipur, this fort is one of the hidden charms of the city. One can capture the most majestic sunset from there and if you to visit in monsoon season, you can watch some of the most beautiful clouds of your life.
Though the beautiful panoramic view of the valley and the lake that is offered by this palace is the main attraction. One might never want to leave this place after watching the beautiful scenery that this place offers.

9. Sati handprints
Jodhpur, India
The Rajasthani women widely practiced the Sati custom before 1829 as the way to show their devotion towards their husband. Mehrangarh Fort displays the hand prints of the fifteen queens who became Sati after the death of their king and husband, Maharaja Man Singh.
The custom was quite peculiar, and the British government banned it in 1829. You can visit this place to check the real evidence of Sati custom.
10. Sulabh Museum of Toilet
New Delhi, India
Okay, this is the last one on our list. For people who want to learn about the history and evolution of toilets can come and visit the Sulabh museum of toilet in New Delhi India. Just like its name, the place is quite outlandish displaying many different kinds of places to handle your morning business.
Including some of the fascinating toilets from all over the world, this place attracts a lot of visitors. A toilet seat that burns feces into ash, and the commode that was built for the French king Louis XIV in the shape of the throne, just so he can call his toilet breaks, “Kingly business”.
