It is required at different levels, such as availing state-backed programmes benefits, filing ITR, etc. Any misinterpreted details in the Aadhaar card can create issues. Aadhaar cardholders can now easily make changes to their aadhaar address from the official website of UIDAI. The UIDAI has implemented certain changes in the Aadhaar Card address change process. Before discussing them, the readers may know that earlier, the UIDAI used to permit aadhaar cardholders to change their aadhaar card without any proof. Now, the service has been discontinued and aadhaar cardholders are now required to provide any of the 32 documents which are acceptable by the UIDAI.

UIDAI tweet says “Dear Resident, the Address Validation Letter facility has been discontinued until further notice. Kindly request your address update using another valid PoA document from the list.

New Steps To Make Changes In Your Aadhaar Card Address

Step 1: Firstly, open the UIDAI’s official website at ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/

Step 2: Choose the ‘Proceed to Update Aadhaar’ option 

Step 3: Enter the Aadhaar card credentials 

Step 4: Verify your Aadhaar details with a captcha code 

Step 5: Enter your mobile number

Step 6: Verify your phone number with the OTP 

Step 7: Enter your Aadhaar card details and the new address

Step 8: Upload any of the 32 official documents accepted by the UIDAI
