As many as three batches of MDH’s Sambhar Masala have been recalled after the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) found the same Salmonella positive. The products distributed in northern California retail stores were tested by FDA who had urged the buyers to return infected Sambhar Masala. Consumption of food contaminated with Salmonella can cause salmonellosis, a common bacterial foodborne sickness.
