‘Bhagoda’ Nithyananda Forms His Own ‘Hindu Nation’ That Has Its Own Passport

If bizarre were to get a synonym, self-made godman Nithyananda would be the first recommendation. At least from our side.

The rape accused Nithyananda, who the Indian government agencies continue to search for, has reportedly set up his own country. Yeah, you heard it right. #justindianthings

Though the location of this mysterious city is still unknown, its website (kailaasa.org) claim that the country has been named ‘Kailaasa’. The website further adds that the “nation without borders [has been] created by dispossessed Hindus from around the world who lost the right to practice Hinduism authentically in their own countries”.

Again though not confirmed, however, sources claim that the country is based on a private island in Ecuador, a country on South America’s west coast.

To recall, Nithyananda has been accused of crimes including rape, torture, kidnapping and wrongful confinement of children, under the Indian Penal Code. He had fled the country to Ecuador via Nepal.

According to the website, Kailaasa offers a “safe haven to all the world’s practising, aspiring or persecuted Hindus…where they can peacefully live and express their spirituality, arts, and culture free from denigration, interference and violence”.

Notably, the city also offers facilities including health facilities, education, free food, yoga and meditation guidance and a temple based lifestyle.

If that’s not enough, Kailasaa even has its own passport and flag, and the passport allows “free entry in all eleven dimensions and fourteen lokas, including Kailaasa”. Also, the country has no place for Hindi.
