The Delhi-NCR region and the northern part of India including the PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) region felt the earthquake tremors on Tuesday afternoon. As per reports, the tremors were felt around 4:35 PM IST. The epicenter of the quake was 140 kilometers from Srinagar in PoK at the depth of 10 to 40 kilometers. The magnitude of the earthquake recorded on the Richter scale was 6.3.

The PoK region where the earthquake is estimated to have originated is hit hard. As per the latest inputs, around 5 people are dead and more than 50 are injured as a result of the impact of the earthquake in the PoK. People from the region have shared the incidence of devastation on the social media.

The earthquakes effect was felt in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Kashmir as well as several towns in Pakistan, including Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtun region.
