In a strange turn of events covering to cities, a man killed 2 family members before shooting himself down. The double murder case has links in the city of Bengaluru and Kolkata. A 42-year-old chartered accountant Amit Agarwal is at the center of these turn of events. Amit lived in Bengaluru with his wife and son.
On Monday he took a flight to Kolkata with his son. He told his son that his mother had left for Kolkata and so they have to fly to Kolkata He reached the home of his mother-in-law and shot dead the 65 years old Lalita Dhandania. In a 67 page note that Amit left behind, he confessed that he had killed his wife in their Bengaluru home before coming to Kolkata.
As per reports from Hindustan Times Amit handed over his son to a known person and asked him to take his son to his own flat in north Kolkata before killing his mother-in-law. While he was attacking the mother-in-law his father-in-law ran out of the flat, locking it behind him as he shouted for help. Later on, he came to saw the dead body of his wife and son-in-law as Amit shot himself after killing the lady. A divorce suit was going on between Amit and his wife for the last two years.
As per the note left behind Amit also wanted to kill his brother-in-law too, who stays at Gurugram. He called him to Kolkata but he didn’t come and got saved. The note highlights that he was planning for the act for a long time. He has repeatedly accused his wife and in-laws in the note. Police have recovered at least two pistol magazines from which 3 bullets were fired.
