A man in Ayodhya was attacked and thrashed by people after he allegedly kissed his wife. The couple was accused of spreading vulgarity by the mob. It happened on Tuesday when the couple was bathing in the Saryu river. The video of the incident went viral across various social media platforms.
What is in the viral video of Saryu river?
In the viral video of less than a minute, a couple is seen bathing in the Saryu river. The man is seen close to his wife, trying to kiss her, and then he is slapped by a man bathing nearby. Others are also seen dragging and beating the man. The man is being dragged away from his wife and the couple is pulled out of the river by the mob. One man is abusing the couple and is saying, “Don’t you have a family?” as seen in the video.

FIR Lodged Against Unknown
After the video went viral, the police took action against all those who are seen thrashing and beating the couple in the video. As per SP of police, Shailesh Pandey, FIR under Sections 147 (rioting), and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) has been filed.
