Putting an official stock of Indian diaspora the United Nations (UN) judged India as the country with the largest diaspora in the world. As per the latest estimates of UN India has a 17.5 million-strong diaspora in the world. The data was released by the Population Division of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) as a part of The International Migrant Stock 2019 report.
