The NRG Stadium in Houston, United States witnessed a gathering of 50,000+ people, besides the US President Donald Trump, to welcome the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the massive ‘Howdy, Modi’ address.

Addressing the people, majorly Indian-American, PM Modi spoke about Indo-US ties, campaigned for Trump and also slammed Pakistan.

PM Modi endorsed Donald Trump with ‘Abki Baar, Trump Sarkar’. Moreover, the event received coverage from media from across the world. Here’s how major newspapers and websites covered the event.

Modi’s address in Houston found the mention of Article 370, which was revoked back in August 2019. He highlighted the decision was taken to push growth and development in the valley, to curb the cross-border terrorism funded by Pakistan. “The time has come for a decisive fight against terrorism and those who support terrorism,” he said.

In an obvious reference to home-grown terrorism in Pakistan, Modi said, “Whether it is 9/11 in America or 26/11 in Mumbai, where are its conspirators found? Not just you, the whole world knows who these people are.” PM Modi also reaffirmed that it has US support in the war against terrorism.




Ahead of the presidential election in the US scheduled for 2020, Modi cheered for Trump saying “Abki baar Trump sarkar”. PM Modi was interestingly all praises for Donald Trump. He said that the latter’s name is known to everyone in the world.

Modi’s speech also found the mention of GST, low-cost data in India, low inflation, low fiscal deficit along with high economic growth in India.

Interestingly,  Trump also had some things to say. He said that he promised in his campaign that India will be a good friend to the US, and he has kept his promise. “I can guarantee that you can never have a better friend than Donald Trump,” he added.

“Soon, Indians will have access to NBA basketball. People will gather in Mumbai to watch the first NBA game in India. Am I invited, Prime Minister?” Trump asked, and then said, “Don’t be surprised, I am warning you, I may come,” said trump saying that making world-class products available in India is a priority.
