Attending the foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of a new building of Registrar General of India (RGI) the home minister suggested the idea of One card for all the utilities in the future. Talking about Census that is to be conducted in 2 years’ time the minister said that it would be the 1st time that census data would be collected digitally. Shah informed that around 12,000 crore would be spent on preparation of National Population Register (NPR) and census.
