Facebook will limit itself from ‘fact-checking’ or ‘blocking’ politicians content even if it violates the site’s hate speech rules, confirmed Facebook’s head of global policy and communication Nick Clegg. This comes in an attempt to thwart Facebook’s interference in the 2020’s presidential election in the USA. Nick Clegg said that the idea behind the move is to let users “judge what politicians say themselves”. However, Facebook will delete content if it could lead to real-world violence.
