Enjoy Concerts, Bars, Gym Beside A View Of Earth At World’s First Space Hotel

If dinning wasn’t fun for you at some of the most exotic hotels across the world, then it’s time you begin saving up for the world’s first space hotel. The unprecedented hotel in the space is expected to have most of the comforts one enjoys on Earth, other than a pool. However, the hotel will compensate for the loss with the fascinating scenes of space. So let’s not complain.

The design for the first commercial space hotel has been shared by The Gateway Foundation, which they believe will be able to accommodate 400 people. The hotel expected to take people on space voyage from 2025, will have its own operational kitchens, restaurants, bars, musical concerts, gym, cinemas and much more.

The hotel, namely, Von Braun Space Station (VBSS), has been named after German-born Nazi aerospace engineer Wernher von Braun. The station will use the likes of artificial gravity to stay on track. For the same, the hotel has been designed around two ring structures that will allow the outer ring to rotate around the inner ring to produce artificial gravity. The concept is more like the one used on the International Space Station. However, Von Braun will allow guests to walk around normally, unlike in ISS.

The outer ring of the station will have 24 modules for accommodation purposes. Gateway foundation states that some rooms will be a permanent residence, while others will be rented or available for space tourists.

The project might be expensive, but project director Tim Alatorre believes that the trip would be the same as going on a cruise or Disney Land.

“Because the overall costs are still so high most people assume that space tourism will only be available to the super-rich. Eventually, going to space will just be another option people will pick for their vacation, just like going on a cruise or going to Disney World.”

At first glance, the concept sounds fun, however, if we peel off the first layer, there come space woes like radiations that might plague one’s experience beside the health. Thus, it would be interesting to witness how the foundation prepares people for the voyage.
