PM Modi Along With Amit Shah Held A 5 Hour Long Meeting To Finalise The Members Of Union Cabinet

Although elections are over and we got the winner we all wanted to see. Now it’s time to meet our new government. In order to finalise the members of the Union Cabinet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah held a five-hour long meeting on Tuesday.

As PM will be taking oath this Thursday, people are wondering whether the man behind this historic win (Amit Shah) is going to join the cabinet or not.

According to the sources, a part of BJP wants him to remain as the party chief. As the assembly election in Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Haryana are soon going to start. Winning these states will help the BJP to reach the halfway mark. And we all know how important Amit Shah is for BJP when its come to winning elections. These are the hints that tell Amit Shah might not join the union cabinet.

Apart from that, in their five-hour-long meeting, PM Modi and his alliance members decided to keep the things same but some key changes are made in the ministries of home, finance, defence and external affairs.

Finance ministry stayed the centre of the topic throughout the meet, as the current finance minister, Arun Jaitley is unwell. Big chances are that he is not going to return as the finance minister this time.

According to the sources, most of the ministers may stay on but minute changes are likely to ensure enactment of Bengal, Odisha and the northeast.

A resolution has been passed by the BJP’s Bihar ally Lok Janshakti Party, saying party chief Ram Vilas Paswan will remain its face in the government. Though, earlier, Mr Paswan had said that he would like to see his son, Chirag Paswan, sitting in the cabinet.

In Conclusion:

The final members of the cabinet will be declared after the oath-taking ceremony. The ceremony will be hosted at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday evening. It will be attended by leaders from BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) nations. The list includes countries like Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal and Bhutan.
