Detective Pikachu Movie Trailer Is Out And It Looks Worth A Trip To The Theatre

Do you remember Ash Ketchum? Do you remember Pokemon? I know the current version of the series sucked, but what if I tell you that they are making a live action film on all those cute and cuddly pokemon?

Though, they might not be that cuddly this time. Recently, Warner Bros released a trailer of Detective Pikachu which is based on the video game of the same name. Excited? Let’s just dive into the trailer discussion.

The trailer starts with a broadcast telling everyone about the celebration of harmony between humans and pokemon. We can see Saiduck standing next to a girl with blonde hair.

After that, we get to see our main lead character, (not Pikachu) played by Justice Smith but his name is not revealed just yet.

Justice is shown talking to someone who appears to be a counselor. Or maybe he is an old friend of his dad, who went missing.

They are talking about his dad and his dream of becoming a Pokemon Trainer. Their deep talk kind of affects him and his destiny comes right at him. He meets detective Pikachu.

Though, Pikachu is different from what we have seen for so many years. This time Pikachu can talk. Though, everyone can’t understand what he is saying except Justice. But believe me, there is nothing better than a talking Pikachu.

Best parts in the trailer

Pikachu is shown playing good cop vs bad cop with his partner. In a scene that features Mr. Mime, I laughed so hard I almost choked. It’s the scene that shows Mr. Mime respond to Pickchu’s question with his mime gesture that says, shove it up. Totally epic.

In yet another scene, Pikachu tries to prove that no one can understand what he speaks, except Justice. BTW, I loved this scene too.

When Justice asks a lady, “Did you hear what he just said,” pointing towards Pikachu’s words. Though, the lady could only hear the famous phrase of this cute pokemon, peka peka.

In Conclusion

After Netflix, everyone is trying to make the live-action pictures of some of the best cartoons and anime series of our time. Not every one of them was able to impress the audience but the trailer of Detective Pikachu seems quite promising.
