Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Set To Be The First Train To Be Not Operated By Railways

With talks of privatization of rail operations doing the rounds, the Indian railways have set the ball rolling in this direction. As a part of its 100 days agenda to encourage private players to participate in rail operations, the ministry of railways has decided to grant IRCTC the responsibility of running two Tejas express. The second of whom would be the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Tejas Express. IRCTC would is expected to take charge of Delhi-Lucknow Tejas by early October. However, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Tejas would come under its operation from December.
