Big Boss House Goes Green For The 13th Season, Turns Less On Plastic

The much-awaited TV reality show Big Boss is all set to be back with its 13th season. The teaser of Bigg Boss 13 with Salman Khan promising ” Mad Manoranjan” has already created a buzz among fans. Not only contestants but this time the house itself would get newer.

This year the Big Boss has shifted its base from the holiday location of Lonavala to Mumbai’s Filmcity. That’s not all going by the call for “environment friendliness” the house would be much eco-friendly than ever before. The lavish 18,500 Sq.ft. house would see less of plastic being used in its setup.

Mary Kom director Omung Kumar who is responsible for the design of Big Boss’s house this year said that he had focussed more on utilizing fibers. He added that most of the reliance was on fiber and POP to be used in the construction of the set design.




CEO of Endemole Group said, “We try to eliminate as much plastic as possible. We have also protected the tree, which was already there in the area where we have built the house. It is not a statement that we are trying to make but a policy that we are trying to adopt”.

The entrance of the Big Boss house would see a 20 feet high vertical garden in the shape of “double B”. The swimming pool would be in the shape of eye keeping in line with the theme of the house. Omung said that house is sober and colorful and the interior of the house resembles a museum.

It took around 600 workers and 6 months to get the set ready for this season. The 13th season is all set to be aired on Colors from 29th September.
