Here Is Why Congress Asked Election Commission To Put A Ban On PM Modi

Everyone is talking about politics. Cricketers and actors are also not spared and even they are becoming a part of politics. Recently, following the same trend, Sunny Deol has joined BJP. He might even take part in the LS poll this year.

But that’s not what we are here for. After reading the title you must have already known that EC might put a 72 hours ban on PM Modi. But why is the election commission doing so?

Why EC might ban-PM Modi?

Pm modi

On Tuesday morning, Congress delegation went to the EC, asserting that PM Modi has violated the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). After casting his vote, PM took out a roadshow, during which he has made political remarks, which is a violation of MCC terms.

Not just this but the opposition party (Congress) has also appealed the election commission to put a campaign ban of 72 hours on Amith Shah (Chief of BJP).

The events that raised concerns

According to the delegation, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Jairam Ramesh, and K Raju moved to EC. During his road show in Krishnanagar, West Bengal, PM Modi openly talked about Balakot air strikes, Pulwama attack, and armed force. All this can easily help to manipulate voters, as we all know how patriotic we are.

Abhishek Singhvi, Congress leader is sad to see PM Modi ignoring the MCC, even though he owns a high post. And you know, with big power comes even bigger responsibility.

“Prime Minister is occupying a high post. The bigger the post, the bigger the responsibility. We have told the Election Commission that instead of caring about the responsibility, the Prime Minister is repeatedly violating the model code of conduct,” Sanghvi media outside the EC.

This is not the first time, Congress is appealing EC to take a look at BJP’s political campaigns. Last week, Congress was appealing EC to look at the mysterious black box that PM was carrying inside his personal chopper.

Are all these accusations true?

If all the claims of Congress are true, then its a very clear and transparent violation of MCC. And according to the Congress leader, PM Modi is habitual of violating rules (especially MCC).

“We told the EC that he is a habitual, egregious, and completely uncaring offender. He doesn’t care for the EC,” said Congress leader said. Back in 2014, general elections and 2017 Gujarat Assembly Elections. Modi has violated the MCC, again by taking out roadshow campaigns and talking about the armed forces.

In Conclusion:

Everyone is waiting for the EC’s reply to the situation. In case EC finds PM guilty he will be banned from carrying out any campaign for 72 hours.

What about you, how do you think EC is going to react?
