Mohd. Azharuddin, the former captain of Indian cricket is a front running contender for the post of President in the upcoming Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) elections. The elections of HCA are scheduled to take place on 27th of this month. Azharuddin’s candidature for the post was rejected in 2017 due to the uncertainties related to the life ban imposed on him. In 2018 the BCCI gave him a nod ahead saying that he is no longer debarred from contesting elections.
