Apple Event 2019, which unfolded last night, was all about taking tech-innovations to the next level. Apple’s special event that took place on Tuesday at the Steve Jobs Auditorium, Cupertino, California saw the unveiling of the latest batch of iPhones alongside products including, Apple Watch Series 5, 7th-generation iPad, Apple Arcade gaming service as well as a video streaming service, Apple TV+.
Here is all you need to know about the event.
The Better And Cheaper iPhone 11
Right of the bat, Apple announced the iPhone 11, which is surprisingly cheaper than its predecessor iPhone X. The iPhone 11 price for the base model starts at $699 (approximately Rs. 50,000) and will be available in six different colours.
Besides features like faster Face ID and A13 Bionic chipset, the phone comes with a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina Display. For shutterbugs, the phone homes a dual 12MP camera at the rear and 12MP selfie camera with slow-motion video-making capabilities.
iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max
iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, which are probably identical-looking sequels of iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max comes with an A13 chip, which makes it the best CPU for machine learning. As per Apple, using the brand-new A13 chipset, the iPhones will be able to perform 1 trillion operations/ seconds.
As far as the visible features go, the standard Pro model comes with a 5.8-inch OLED display while the Max model gets a 6.5-inch screen. Apple calls the display as Super Retina XDR. The same features HDR, Dolby Vision, 2 million to 1 contrast, and 1200-nits of brightness.

The main highlights of the pro models are their camera and improved battery life. The Pro models come with a triple camera setup comprising a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a new 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Also, they have been tipped to offer an improved battery life of up to 5 hours more than their predecessors XS models.
As far ar the price goes, iPhone 11 Pro has been priced at $999 (for the base model) while the Max model begins at $1,099.
Apple iPad 7th Generation
Tenders have speculated the arrival of new features to iPads and Apple hasn’t disappointed. Apple in the event announced the 7th generation iPad with a larger 10.2-inch Retina display, and additional features like A10 Fusion chip, support for Apple Pencil and iPad Pro-like smart connector. The price of the 7th generation iPad starts at $329. It goes on sale starting from 30 September.
Apple Watch Series 5
Apple has also unveiled the new Apple Watch Series 5, which might look exactly like Apple Watch Series 4 but lures enough with enhanced functionalities. The wearable offers features like Always-On LTPO display, a built-in compass, international emergency calling, and all-day battery life, and sleep tracking.
Available in ceramic and titanium cases as tenders suggested, the watch starts at $399 for the GPS model and $499 for the LTE model.
Apple Arcade and Apple TV+
Besides products, Apple this years has elected to venture into the services market with the introduction of Apple Arcade and Apple TV+. Both the services will be available on iPhones, iPads and other Apple products. However, Apple TV+ can also be accessed by Amazon Fire TV, some Samsung TVs, Sony and more.
Apple will add a new ‘Apple Arcade’ tab in the App Store wherein, it will add new games every month, which you can access by paying $4.99/month. The company has also announced Apple TV+ at $4.99/month for a family subscription.
