If not trying to garner attention, International Cricket Council (ICC) has some serious issue with Sachin Tendulkar’s being tagged as the greatest cricketer of all time. To recall, soon after team England was crowned the Cricket World Cup 2019 Champions, ICC tweeted a picture of Ben Stokes and Sachin Tendulkar captioning it, “The greatest cricketer of all time – and Sachin Tendulkar”.

The photo was ICC’s appreciative reaction to Ben Stokes’s sublime 100 in the World Cup final. And obviously, the post didn’t go well around Tendulkar’s fan who criticized ICC for the words it chose.
However, ICC in its mocking self on Wednesday tweeted the same photo once again, this time with a different caption. ICC wrote “told you so” citing Ben Stoke’s unbeaten century in the third Ashes to help England pull off an unbelievable win against Australia. And once again, the tweet didn’t sit well among Tendulkar’s fans.

Soon, the tweet invited the wrath of the netizens, as they gave ICC facts lesson.

I think Sachin deserves more respect than this.. In the late 90s he shouldered the Entire Indian cricket team on his Own..countless times.. The only difference.. There wasn’t any Twitter during that time..

May be one day he may become the greatest cricketer of all time.
But he can’t become “God of cricket” pic.twitter.com/1NfgqGJ04A— My conscience/என் மனசாட்சி (@machanae1) August 27, 2019

England bowled out for a mere 67 in the first innings of Ashes needed 73 runs to win with just 1 wicket in their pocket. The England all-rounder forged a partnership with the last man – Jack Leach – that scripted England’s highest successful fourth-innings chase ever.
The victory ensured England keep their hopes alive in the series which stands 1-1 currently.
